The concept of Integrated Communications stems from Integrated Marketing Plan, but taking it to a different level. Let’s just say Integrated Communications is the “Art” of marketing and Integrated Marketing Plan is the “Science” of it… Or put it another way, Integrated Communications is like the art of cooking, planning all the right ingredients to be put into the cooking pot. Integrated Marketing Plan is the reality check presenting you with a budget which restricts the amount of ingredients.

The Integrated Marketing Plan is seen as a reality check for enthusiastic marketers. The Integrated Communications planning phase allows you great creativity in applying your marketing mix. The Integrated Marketing Planning phase helps you to apply your rational thoughts to justify your marketing spending. It helps you plan your budget by guiding you to match your financial and manpower resources, gives you a timeline for achieving your goals and helps you monitor your progress.

Integrated Communications is a term which defines a concept which consolidates and reiterates through one focused & unified message across all the marketing mix of advertising, public relations, direct marketing as well as all marketing collaterals.

The Integrated Communications concept works well for both the traditional as well as internet marketing. Large brick and mortar corporations will manage their Integrated Communication via synchronizing their TV, radio & press ads, publicity with direct sales initiatives with one single message. Past experience suggested that great effort must be executed to ensure that all marketing mix activities are aligned throughout with one single message. This is especially so when the corporation is large and adopts a decentralized business model.

By contrast, with regards to Integrated Communications for Small business Internet Marketing, there seems to be lesser alignment problems. You can standardize and focus your keywords in your scripts, online display ads, emails, newsletters to enhance search results via Search Engine Optimization (SEO), do your social book-marking, networking and viral marketing all within your control.

Successful Integrated Communications campaigns almost without fail (don’t mind the pun) consists of at least 4 aligned marketing tactics, namely extensive exposure advertisements, direct marketing, website, email marketing.

Hence, “Integrated” takes on a whole new meaning when you examine the various potential communications tools you can used, match it with your marketing budget plan, time it for implementation and review it over time for enhanced effectiveness. This effectively speaking, forms the Integrated Marketing Plan.

Marketing Communications professionals should develop a vision for enterprise marketing communications before rushing into inviting Customer Communications Management Suppliers to demonstrate how their products could help your company.

A new vision has to be developed because marketing communications professionals now have a completely new way of working.

Gone are the days where a companies direct mail and transactional mail need to be separated and handled by different company functions or different suppliers. Gone are the days where large project teams have to be formed to make simple changes to documents. Gone are the days where the task of making a change to corporate positioning are a huge and expensive task and gone are the days of fragmented customer messaging due to disparate customer communications processes.

Companies have always tried to derive a corporate vision for customer communications, a grand plan and a grand scheme to give the markets it serves clarity of brand understanding, but the issue of complexity has always been a barrier to this plan.

Now, the opportunity that unified Customer Communications Management offers is one of fulfillment of vision, of an ability to execute and of an ability to drive business advantage.

It is because of this opportunity to execute that the marketing communications professional should focus on a new vision first and not a rehash of the old version made easier. The scope is now broader.

Now, it is possible to communicate across a diverse set of channels with ease, to deliver coherent meaningful messages into differing market segments but to retain an appeal in each of those segments. It is about the opportunity to interact, to learn and to deliver value, a value that is meaningful to each customer as an individual.

The vision should come back to marketing basics. Segment the market, identify a product, service or overall company appeal and learn to drive value in those communications. It means that a company can drive its brand values in a fashion that is adaptive to changing market conditions.

In doing this, we don’t just communicate differently, we create a new kind of company, a company that is adaptive, that is continuously learning, that delivers its key objectives in a measurable, proven fashion.

Marketing communications professionals have new power in their hands. A way to reach the market that was previously impossible. It is only in very recent years that this has become possible. It means that a product does not have to be marketed with common brand values across different segments. Companies can continue to focus upon core segments but can become much more adaptive to emerging segments, segments in which it would previously have been a very difficult, length and costly environment to compete.

We call this marketing agility, the ability to take reasoned, measured analysis and quickly deliver a response to that analysis, to test the credibility of the analysis and to improve on the next iteration, bringing market segments into focus not on the basis of a hunch or, just a historical analysis (this is important still) but on live events, events to which the changing response can materialise faster than ever before.

This is in our view, a new paradigm for marketers and one whose impacts much be considered carefully before jumping straight into the focus of technology and process decisions – this can come once the vision for the agile marketing communications organisation has been established.

Avoid what you used to do but just a little better, take hold of this new agility, embrace it and define it. This is how Customer Communications Management can be utilised to deliver marketing excellence.

Jun 10, 2010 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) — As mobile phones rapidly displace the PC as the most common Internet access device, the online lead generation industry must decide how to best utilize mobile data while limiting the negative impact it can bring. The standard practice of verifying phone numbers of education leads is becoming central to this challenge.

An efficient telecommunication system provides business organizations with a competitive edge. By implementing a hosted IP PBX phone system, small businesses can benefit from the sophisticated communication features of large enterprise communication systems but at a comparatively lower price.

Make an Impact on Your Callers with Professional Communication

The hosted IP PBX phone system is incorporated with outstanding call handling features such as auto attendant, find-me/follow-me call forwarding, call conferencing, voicemail, voice to email, automatic call distribution, fax to email and much more.

Callers to your business office are provided with a professional communication experience by the virtual receptionist or auto attendant. It greets the callers with recorded salutation messages and presents a list of options including dial-by-name, dial-by-extension and more. Based on the choice selected by the caller, calls are quickly forwarded to the correct extensions. This system handles numerous calls arriving together with outstanding efficiency and executes call transferring without giving out line busy signals.

Voicemail System Eliminates the Odds of Missing Calls

The hosted IP PBX telephone system can provide you the same features and functionalities that enterprise-class phone systems offer. Hosted IP PBX provides small businesses with an increased flexibility. With its excellent call forwarding option, calls to main business phone numbers can be answered on your personal landlines or cell phones set as extensions. Thus round-the-clock communication can be maintained with your business clients. Calls that are not answered within a specific number of rings are forwarded to the voicemail system, allowing callers to leave voice messages. Voice messages can be verified on your email account and this enables you to take important business decisions even in the middle of business trips.

Cost-effective Telecommunication Choice

The hosted IP PBX phone system facilitates outbound calls to domestic and overseas locations at reasonable charges, and this considerably minimizes your telecom expenses. Several extensions can be maintained from an existing telephone connection, which enables easy business expansion. Further, virtual phone numbers enable a business presence to be created anywhere, and this eliminates the overheads involved in setting up additional physical infrastructure.

Hosted IP PBX phone functionalities can be utilized without purchasing pricey on-site equipment. The service providers maintain the hardware at their site and PBX features are offered using broadband Internet or telephone connections at cost-effective rates.
